As saddened as I am by its manifestation in real time, I am simultaneously ecstatic that Donald “Smitty” Trump is the “chief” representative for the “US” (also known as the United States). But understand, “US” is not “we” dependent on context and, most of all, perspective. And “US” sure as hell ain’t me.

Smitty represents what many of “us” have known about the “US” for centuries. He is the epitome of all seven deadly sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth. In fact, he adds a few extras like: Racism, Homicidal Tendencies, Cowardice, Cruelty, Theft, Disrespect, Disregard, Disingenuousness, Dishonesty and Piggishness. His political advent has revealed to the entire world that of which “we” have always been cognizant of. The proverbial cat is out of the bag.

Meeting The Orange Meathead (TOM)

Legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, arrested and held without bail for their murders. Nick, who had been seen arguing with his father recently, was identified by police as responsible for the deaths, which were discovered by the couple’s daughter, Romy Reiner. Tributes poured in for the prolific actor and filmmaker.

Before his storied career as a director, Reiner starred in the sitcom All In The Family which featured an antagonistic and racist father-in-law played by Carroll O’Conner. I distinctly remember the show and was about eight years old when it premiered. O’Conner’s character “Archie Bunker” was the father of Reiner’s character’s (Michael) wife. Archie called Michael “Meathead.”

Perhaps it was my childish mind but whenever Archie addressed Michael as “Meathead” I would howl with laughter. The show was such a success a number of shows became spinoffs from it. Archie was a racist, ignorant pig and “Meathead” would have none of it.

The tragic news of the murders of Reiner hit Los Angeles like a media earthquake. As the city, the county, the state and the nation reeled from multiple mass shootings (here and abroad), while Palestinians are dying by the dozens almost every day and while an uneasy nation grapples with all manner of decline, the following is what Donald “Smitty” Trump tweeted (or some similar thing) upon hearing of Reiner’s death. In striking poetic juxtaposition, Rob Reiner was a staunch and active critic of Smitty; just as he was of his vicarious racist pig of a father-in-law in the aforementioned sitcom.

What follows is a direct transcription of Trump’s Truth Social tweet. As you read this, think of the horrific crime scene. The daughter who found her parents in pools of blood and the incredible pain she must be enduring knowing that her brother killed them. As he bombs fisherman in boats, this is what he had to say. I will say no more about the issue because if this sick bastard that the majority of white voters overall supported to the tune of approximately 55% to 57%, in the 2024 presidential election, is what represents you: it is what is is. And, this was his “tribute.”

Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”
