Rarely do I release two articles in the same day, but this is by design and quite contrived. Kind of like “tenderizing” meat before grilling. As a bit of an unfunny private joke there are those of us that, for whatever reasons, are familiar with the legal process in Amerika and one of the unofficial tactics regularly employed in litigation is jocularly known as “tenderizing.” If you are unable to figure it out, make the necessary inquiry or go ask your lawyer friend what it means for I haven’t the bandwidth at the moment.
Approximately eight hours ago, I published Part 1 as the parenthetical piece to which this, Part 2, is an appendix. The piece is titled “Let's Indict The Motherfucker! (Part 1: The Prologue).” https://rohnkenyatta.substack.com/p/lets-indict-the-motherfucker-part
Weaponized Wordplay
The aforementioned article excoriates an amnestic and sycophantic media which is an intelligent assessment of the material presented. It also addresses a vile, potty-mouthed, delusional, cowardly and racist president of “US” (more like y’all) which is also an intelligent assessment of the material presented. It addresses “swearing,” and though laced with subtext and double entendre, that would be an additionally intelligent assessment of the material presented.
It addresses my inferiority as a being, and those that are allegedly superior to me, which is an intelligent assessment of the material presented. It examines the burden of supremacy and superiority with understanding and compassion, which is an intelligent assessment of the material presented. Last, but hardly least, the article discusses the word “fuck” which is an intelligent assessment of the material presented. Ergo, intelligent people have all figured it out.
But…
Not So fast Kimosabe: Hold Your Horses Motherfucker
This publication is named what it is named for several reasons. I have explained them in the past and will likely do so again, but this is not that time. It is my premeditated intent to deliver incisive linguistic critique that operates on multiple levels—historical, social, political, rhetorical, and racial.
Were I to live to the age of Methuselah I will leave this earth sorrowful that people, especially in what is known as the “US,” will never understand how words influence them. Language can be a bridge or a bomb. What I present in writing is a language-driven act of resistance, and yes, it's dense with subtext. My wordplay is not just stylish—it’s weaponized.
What It’s Really About
At its surface, my essay critiques the hypocrisy and double standards in how language, behavior, and morality are policed in America, particularly when it comes to race. Contrast the media and public’s reaction to Trump’s vulgarities with how a Black man—especially someone like Barack Obama—would be crucified for saying the same things.
I employ, deploy and exploit biting satire, irony, and historical reference to flip the script. My self-description as a “savage,” “cretin,” and “uncouth philistine” is performative. It’s a rhetorical mask exposing how society defines Blackness in terms of subhumanity. I own that grotesque stereotype only to shatter it from the inside with intentionally “subversive” language.
RACIALIZATION OF LANGUAGE: THE ULTIMATE APARTHEID TOOL
Language itself, particularly English, is racialized, tiered, and colonized. This linguistic stratification serves as a form of apartheid. Allow me to proffer the following:
1. WHO GETS TO SPEAK HOW IS RACIALIZED
When Trump says “fuck” or “motherfucker,” he is seen as brash, strong, real.
If Obama had said it? He would be labeled a thug, unpresidential, dangerous. Why?
Because language is judged not on its content but on the body that delivers it.
2. THE MEDIA POLICES BLACK LANGUAGE MORE HARSHLY
If the MSM were anymore full of caca they would float. Acting like they are either impressed or outraged by an F-bomb, but not by a call to violence (“shoot these niggers”). Profanity from a white man can be excused, even celebrated, but not when it comes from a Black speaker. Don’t dare tell me how non-white supremacist you are M.F.
This difference is not just social; it's institutionalized. That’s what I mean when I reference language as “the ultimate apartheid tool.” The rules of speech are not universal—they are segregated, weaponized, and enforced unequally.
3. MINCED OATHS & CODE-SWITCHING
My opening paragraph in Part 1 discusses a “minced oath.” But this is far more than a curiosity, it sets up the central theme: the sanitization and domestication of language. Contrast this with the “raw,” “unfiltered” speech of the street or the oppressed. And yet, ironically, it is the elite, the president, the so-called embodiment of civility, who uses crass, violent, base language without consequence. Language is not neutral. It is racialized, gendered, and classed.
Survival Guide
I do not “code-switch.” I reverse-engineer the haze of the white gaze, using academic sarcasm and streetwise prose to perform a linguistic rebellion. My “digressions” are like the progressions of Miles Davis and they are deliberate—they create rhythm, tension, and disorientation. It’s my patented Black rhetorical style that refuses to bow to white literary norms.
When I told you “You must realize that I am providing you a survival guide,” I didn’t just mean surviving Trump—or politics. I mean surviving the linguistic apartheid that defines who can say what, how, and when. I gave you tools with which to do so:
Awareness of the double standard
Language that refuses to be tamed
Historical memory that links now with then
It’s an invitation to stop merely observing and start decoding… and resisting.
It is not my sole intent to be “edgy” or “provocative.” It very much is my intent to be formally and politically radical. My thoughts and, thusly, my writing is part-poem, part-journalism, part-satire, part-speech act. I haven’t the slightest desire to be accepted into the mainstream. Contraire, contraire! My mission is to interrogate and dismantle it.
Rather lofty, eh?
If you value truth-telling, discomfort, and an unapologetic human voice representing personhood that happens, through some cosmic accident, to be a Black voice you are moving in the right direction. If not, you ought do an about face (or what my dad would call “a one-eighty”). I cannot assure, ensure or insure neither your approval nor consensus, and have no desire for your acceptance anymore than you desire mine.
So let’s get that bullshit out of the road. What I can assure you is a literary experience. Think of me as the Arturo Toscanini of a foreign language that is your own. Perhaps that should be Tosca-pickaninny.
But fuck that, this is some good spaghetti.
Have some.
Well.. until Pope John XXIII said it was okay to understand the Bible in one's own vernacular (Latin:vernaculus; home-born, as in verna, a slave born in a master's home) the catholics were supposed to only understand their teachings from the vulgar (Latin:vulgate) version of the scripture,
A bit weird because the vulgar was the contemporary vernacular when Jerome translated from Greek to Latin in the vulgarness of the language spoken by the people who thought their homes vulgar (common) places and the vernacular was emphasized by the verna who belonged to the home but were not vulgar people but luminare homines (lesser humans, not common) and since presidents are luminaries of course they cannot be common and should not speak in the vernacular since luminaries are a lesser (specification).
So of course the motherfucker should be crucified for daring to believe himself, a mere luminary to be able to speak in the vulgar vernacular.
I get what you've written,Rohn. To be honest, when Smitty said Fuck on the law of the White House,it did not shock me at all. His vocabulary is, after all, very limited. Don't know if you saw his pathetic performance at the NATO summit?? you want to talk about a complete idiot unable to cobble out anything that sounded intelligent , there he was, in front of the World, displaying the above and as you've written so well here today. Thank you, for sharing your Brilliance 🙏
