LookingNWords deals with heavy stuff. Uncomfortable stuff. It forces one to think outside of their comfy little boxes, cerebral and societal prisons. And, though we hand those imprisoned by same the key to unlock themselves, many choose to remain voluntarily cognitively incarcerated. LookingNWords has two goals: first to provide a different, but salient, perspective and, second, to provoke thought (which upsets many).

Today, however, we shall strike a lighter note for I am experiencing a rather rare, albeit fleeting, moment of impishness. I must be candid in telling you that this fleeting moment of being an imp is not my fault; not entirely. You see, one of our subscribers is the catalystic culprit for the silliness and mirth I shall now engage in.

Yesterday’s column explored the weighty and uncomfortable (for some) issue of a potential Global Race War ignited by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine. The war has shifted the world “order” and marks the death of Western hegemony. Resultant of the article, there was a response that was, basically, a respectful dissent in terms of political indoctrination. In any event, the respondent made a lighthearted comment about Putin’s notorious shirtless photograph that shows him sitting atop a horse.

Intrigued and somewhat amused by the reference, I suggested to our subscriber “Perhaps you would much prefer to see Biden or Trump with their shirts off.” The hilarity that ensued was epic. However, as Winston Churchill most eloquently stated: “a joke is a serious thing.” Consequently, I started to muse about the matter; thus this article.

I shall let you, our reader, decide whether or not we matriculate, or degenerate, from bad to worse.
