“It has been said that the greatest loss in life is not death; the greatest loss in life is what dies inside us while we are alive”. It’s painful to live with this shameful truth inside. At 85 I’m certain it won’t change while I live but I’m not going to “let it go” as so many instruct. Perhaps there is little if anything I can do but I can keep the truth alive inside, acknowledge it, share it until I’m gone. Better to live as even a small part of a potential solution then as a contributor to the problem. Thanks again for continuing to help me keep the truth alive within.

In my travels, I've passed on balut, dog (there used to be a dog meat restaurant less than a km from my house), and cuy (Peruvian guinea pig); I enjoyed the fried tarantula. In general, pigs are smarter than dogs, but not as cute. I think that may be the demarcation for many people -- don't eat cute.
