The privileged coward class which occupies all true positions of power in the US - a gaggle of squatters, really - will never do a damn thing outside of making damn sure they don't rock that damn luxury liner named "The Owned".

Personally, I do not fear trump or his thug boys. It's not an act of courage, I just won't be held hostage - not by anyone or any thing. Most, it seems, are soiling themselves over an "idea" that t-rump is going to unleash his hoards of spellbound dipshit vigilantes. When has the US ever bent this far backward to accommodate a threat? "We don't negotiate with terrorists" is as hollow and hilarious a declaration as "These colors don't run" - both of which are absolute bullshit - especially when the terrorists are rich, white, and "official".

I'll call trump's bluff. And I'll call the bluff of all politicians exploiting "fear of trump" as the exclusive focus of their campaign. Somebody please just put this absolute nobody in an orange jumpsuit that matches his orange face. We'll cross whatever big scary oh no bridge when we get there.

I respectfully submit to you, Sir, that the United States is bending forward.

More like grabbing its ankles.

Mr. Kenyatta,

A few end-of-the-week One Good Thing comments, nothing on this article specifically, but attempting a bit of positive news. Recommended this blog last Wednesday to a young black Apple Support rep who helped me troubleshoot an Apple ID issue.

Also sending the "shithole" article to the local candidate for whom I'm currently volunteering, Greg Seeley (www.gregfornm.com), military veteran and former staff for our first Native Congresswoman, Deb Haaland (I also volunteered and donated a lot for her first Congressional campaign).

Renewed paid subscription, I was just temporarily pissed about the OJ tragedy. It's over, there were two very significant issues in that trial: racial injustices and domestic violence, and one's race, gender, personal experience deeply influenced one's opinion on that trial.

Another One Good Thing is AOC! Great example of a young politician who has integrity and intelligence! NYT article here:

And this excellent article by black NYT writer Jamelle Bouie:

Eventually will be changing email associated with Substack. Dumping all Gmail accounts and using much more secure (with no ads) European email programs that charge an annual fee. You get what you pay for and I no longer trust American email programs.

Have a good weekend and coming week to you and your subscribers.

Hell, give me the baton—*I'll* beat Trump to a pulp with it, with pleasure!

Of course, I'll also beat Hillary Rodham Clinton, who made "President Trump" possible by refusing to gracefully let Bernie Sanders win the Democratic Nomination by Pied Piper'ing her hand-picked *jibroni* and goodbuddy Trump, with that baton, too. Far as I'm concerned they're the same side of that counterfeit coin and deserve to be punished in the same way.

I really fucking hate that I have to support Joe Biden because THOSE two are the alternative. That's why I can't get upset at you for not agreeing with me about Biden because—you're not wrong, Rohn! Joe Biden is, at best, a holding action for White people like me, and for you he's just More of The Same Smug White Entitlement Bullshit.

I'm just glad you haven't laughed in my face about it...yet.

There is nothing to laugh at there; and, most certainly, not you.

In other words we're fucked. The abuser has gaslighted and threatened and trapped the victim.

And this is why fear is a sin.

Thanks. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I fail.

Forgot to bring this up weeks ago when you posted a link to a Temptations song. Are you familiar with The Last Poets? https://youtu.be/De_N7Yaz2pE

Have a good Mothers Day weekend, not a good week for me had to euthanize a sweet cat. They are my family so pretty damn sad. Feline intestinal lymphoma.

Again your ability your penetrating analysis overwhelms me.

At one time, 1877, just as reconstruction in the south was ending, the pale-faced workers across the country began striking en masse from the corporations that were holding them economically hostage. It was a second civil war that is never in your history book. Once again American president rose to save our country and sent out federal troops into at least 20 of the 38 states and gunned down several thousand. Only four digits of death, not six? Well no one was shooting back (or very few) so the army used their new repeating rifles against stone throwing savages that were the hostage labor north.

The south, not very industrialized, didn't have to great a participation. Amazingly, where they did, there was no distinction of skin color and both so-called races took up their stones together to throw at the troops.

Something had to happen, and so to gather everyone back into the fold, the newly amended constitution not only became defunct by the judicial system, but the legislatures backed by their corporate brethren managed to reinstitute the racial system. Blacks and asian immigrants were sent to prison, or if not, denied raises and forced into servitude of the white laborers (who did get wage increases, better company housing, etc.) in servitude of the bosses and politicians.

The "justification" that creates the life you experience as a black man is to make the white man feel his own servitude is not as severe as the "colored" or the immigrant, is to grant the white a feeling of superiority "bosstude" over the others not as superior. As such, this justification is the bosses continued ability to control through stupefication of reality. America has never presented its history, either to its citizens (or to the world) through anything but "fake history".

And so the political and corporate owners maintain control of their whites by making them feel they are bosses over the blacks.

America is such. That is its history. Making the inferior superior to their equals. And of course "civil rights" threatens" that superiority and the white man in his inferiority has no one left to be superior over.

The tragedy we face now is all these inferior whites either have to follow Trump to not feel they really are not superior, and are the same worms that have been trodden upon.

Racism continues only as long as the worms can be convinced they are the fish capable of eating the black worms.

So of course the white man becomes as much a hostage as the black man. But how do you make the white man realize that by treating the black man as an inferior, he continues to permit his own subjection?

Probably it is up to the black man to knock some sense into him.

Somebody asked me during the 2016 election if I would vote for a woman for president. I said, “Hell yes! I’d even vote for a man if they would let one run!”

Now, voting is for the kind of idiot who thinks this is a representative system of government, and that is not the kind of idiot I am. But I have to tell you I have been glad every day for eight years that that particular lady psychopath was stopped inches short of getting her hands on the nukes. <whew!>

As demonstrated, Trump has not the wit to be president. He also has not the wit to do a fraction of the damage, as president, that every other president during my adult lifetime has done. Imo, people are fascinated by Trump because he’s not an act: that 8th grade scatological joke of a clueless self-conscious narcissist is actually him. Everyone else on the political stage is playacting someone they are not.

It is a fine democracy that gives folks a choice between a diaper-dragger mumbling about his uncle being eaten by cannibals and a third-rate Jersey hood who would have starved as the used car salesman he was plainly meant to be.

I’ll be sitting this “election” out again.
