Rohn, sorry for responding so seldom. I’ve been quite busy trying to keep my writing and self-publishing business going and keeping Barbara happy after the election fiasco that time escapes me. I realize it’s not important because the depth of your truth and clarity need no response.

It is difficult to contain the anger, being an angry person from the get-go. When I hear all this MAGA mess, it’s so obvious that there is no clue as to the meaning of Again. For those who don’t get it, you have to do it before you can do it again. Greatness just isn’t in the cards for us and never has been.

I’m reading a history of Aaron Burr now and while he was no prize, he was a prince compared to almost all the dishonorable, dishonest characters of the time. We are definitely moving into an awful time, but the past sure as hell has little to take pride in.

I know you are a little more optimistic than I am, but I honestly don’t believe we will ever take a step to own our shit and therefore improvement is beyond our grasp.

Keep the truth coming. Even when I’m not responding, I await every sentence. Thanks.

B.B., I read every one of your newsletters and am well aware of the numerous "steps" you are taking to expand your publishing business. The knowledge I have acquired from your expertise is priceless and I hope we get to work together someday soon.

"For those who don’t get it, you have to do it before you can do it again. Greatness just isn’t in the cards for us and never has been."

That, Sir, is sublime to the point o leaving one mute...and so it shall be.

Give my regards to Barbara.

The defective part is the "intellectual hypocrisy" nature of the being.

I humbly submit that American society and Constitutional system are BOTH defective AND broken. The defective set-up allowed for some progress, if uphill every step. Now irrational reactionary forces have broken the attempted patches, in the process trashing even some of the defective framework. You are SO right in analogizing/speculating, what if Obama's son had this history! Yet (I'm having trouble trying to communicate this) visiting condemnation on one doesn't help the unjust condemnation of another. (Not a zero-sum game?) How I wish there were hope for Leonard Peltier. Oh, well.

Always appreciate hearing your assessments, and the passion and skill with which you articulate them. I wonder howe'er, if you really think Biden should not have pardoned his son??? I think he absolutely should have, given the wholly political nature of the investigation, and RE the two charges unrelated to Ukraine (the latter being questionable morally but not illegal), millions of American gun owners who use pot have marked the box for decades, and never been charged. I also agree that Biden should use his pardoning powers to try to protect persons on T-rump's hit list, and media outlets that the RIGHT in the wrong-doings, will try to shut down, or otherwise mute or proclaim enemies of the people.... Perhaps he can also nominate Jack Smith for judgeship.

I am simply pointing out the race-based hypocrisy. Something Black People in the United States have always experienced. If no man/woman is "above the law," then no man/woman should be above the law. There are tens of thousands of Black People in the United States serving life sentences for possessing and using crack cocaine (a chemical weapon deployed in their neighborhoods by the CIA). THAT was called "the war on drugs," "zero-tolerance." Where is their "pardon?" Yet, NOW, because European-American dope fiend brats are dying it's called "an opioid crisis" and they are victims we should feel sorry for.

And crack ain't pot.

This is sickening.

My prehistoric Mac can't "like," but I Like! The question is, can there be amelioration in the sense of, progress toward sanity (fairness, equal opportunity, equal justice) and if so, how? We seem to be condemned as Sisyphus, with a vision of a more fair and just society, somewhere up there on the mountain, but we just got kicked back down.

Outstanding economy of words. Perhaps you ought exhume that IBM/AT. Or even live on the edge with that 286.

LOL.

Substack is acting goofy and somehow your comment was removed; perhaps even pilot error. Luckily I did have it in another location and for reference your comment was: "There's a lot of DD and ACD going around these days. Our main stream media promotes it after all."

You'll receive no argument from me, not at all.
