This may be a tough piece to "like", but there isn't a single thing about it that isn't true.

The patient cannot begin to heal without a thorough examination - including patient history, if at all possible. I was a firefighter/ EMT in a large city for a time. Knowing what is killing your patient is the very first thing you need to figure out - and quickly.
The United States is extraordinarily sick at present, even by our own standards. The healing can only begin after we've set aside our fears and acknowledged the inherent strength we all hold to look at another being and see ourself.
This piece by Kenyatta is a tough one, but it's as close to objective as any other. And no, I don't say that to all the guys..

I knew that, and know that, Sir. However, IF the truth shall set you free, then I am the greatest "patriot" humanity has. As our mission statement indicates this is not the place for the indoctrinated, the willfully ignorant or those allergic to the truth. Supremacy, lying, subterfuge and denialistic bullshit is what got us here. The world is full of journalistic media group-gropes, echo-chambers and star-chambers.

Were your commentary devoid of such sobering gravity, I would have laughed at your last sentence.

Sometimes the only sane thing to do in an insane world is bust a gut.
Or cry.
Or maybe write a thing makes you do both.
Thanks for always shining a light just beyond the perimeter of that ever so comfy circular path we travel towards a unicorn named "progress".
I too like my reality to be sober.
Lady Di, a distinction but, perhaps, sans difference.
